Tuesday 7

Thermometer: 56-95-76. (throughout the night 65 degrees)
The east-north-east wind veered with the sun, and calmed at sunset.
Same weather and wind. Somewhat less wind. Very hot.

Improved my map.
We followed our previous route in the evening and outspanned at half past eleven at night after 5½ hours travelling. The so-called blind-flies were a nuisance the whole day and the gnats in the evening.
