dit is een der hoogste koppen van dit hogeland, dit veld stond iets beter als onder roggeveld keerde langs eenen abram van wyk 1½ uur te paard w.z.w. van coetse weer te rug

Climbed the mountain called Sneeukrants to take observations. The large azimuth compass showed a completely wrong reading on two occasions, here certainly caused by iron or magnetic material in the mountains. This is one of the highest peaks in the plateau. The grass is in slightly better condition than in the Onder Roggeveld. I turned back past a certain Abram van Wijk’s, 1½ hour’s on horseback from Coetse’s.
