Thermometer: 70 100 80.

The same weather; hot.
In the morning the Bushman chief Doeroep came to fetch me with one of his people. He looks much like the chief Ruiter. Was very polite in his speech, and had a good physiognomy. Had a long discussion with him Departed further north-easterly, and after seven hours riding arrived at the Bushmen at the Camdeni.
Saw several so-called quiver-trees. The east grass seeds, and thresh it.
