Was not at all well. Found the latitude of this farm to be 32 degrees amd 6 minutes, error 25 degrees north-west. Brisk west north-west-wind. Clear, fine weather.
Had to put mats over the astrolabe because of dust swirls even though it was behind the house.
Thermometer: 60 degrees to 80 degrees dropping with sunset to 74 degrees. Calm in the evening.
Found by examining a Hottentot child that flat noses are natural here.
