't selfde weer later forsse w: wind in den avond. bleef nog om het vel te drogen buiten de son. had veel moeite het verderf in de kop te hinderen. verlang tegens woordig dat de son onder is, om de violente hette in dit sand tussen de bergen, en de vliegen die seer plagen. so dat men niet lesen of schryven kan.

The same weather. Later in the evening a brisk west wind. Still remained to dry the skin out of the sun. Had great difficulty keeping the head from going rotten. The violent heat in this sand between the mountains makes me long presently for the sun to go down; the flies are a great nuisance too so that one cannot read or write.
