With daylight sought for our road and found it, reaching Bezuidenhoud after a good hour’s ride. The wagon came not long after us and we left at midday on our previous road to Koerneui at Khun’s where arrived in four hours. We found the Veldcommandant Khun had come home and he told us that according to the news from Europe everything was now at peace.
